What we collect
Account info (name, email, password — stored as a bcrypt hash, never in plain text), profile info you add (bio, rate information), content you post (listings, needs, requests, messages, reviews), and location you choose to share (neighborhood coordinates, if you use "Use my current location"). If you enable push notifications, we store a browser push subscription.
How we use it
To operate the platform: showing your listings/needs to other members, sending you email or push notifications about messages and claims (which you can turn off individually), and sorting neighborhoods/requests by distance if you share location.
What we don't do
We don't sell your data. We don't share your email with other members directly — they see your name and messages you choose to send them.
Your choices
You can edit or delete your profile information, unsubscribe from a category of email from your dashboard or via the one-click link in any notification email, and disable push notifications from your dashboard at any time.
Data retention
We retain account and content data while your account is active. You can permanently delete your own account and everything tied to it — profile, listings, needs, messages, reviews, and requests — from your profile settings. If you currently founded a neighborhood, you'll need to hand founder status to another member first, from that neighborhood's Members tab.
